Here are a couple of Family Trees for 5 generations of the families of grandparents Edward Hall Jones and his wife Sarah Margaret Brooks. I posted them a while ago on the Facebook Group.

I told you the other day about getting help with finding information about the mystery man with the elaborate sword and belt from the Pennsylvania Genealogy Facebook group.. I received another response that day from a gentleman named Tim Bangaman. He told me that he is the great grandson of William E. Dunn, the younger brother of our great great grandfather Abyram and gave me his email address. I sent him a couple pictures of Abyram’s daughter Jennie. He returned the favor and sent me these photos of his family. Nice to share. It really is a small world, isn’t it?.
1. William Dunn (1852-1932) 2. His wife Elizabeth Tice Dunn (1853-1930) 3. William & Elizabeth Dunn 4. One of their 6 children, Emma (1884-1952). She looks a little like Grandma Sarah, maybe? I’ve been spending lots of time in the 1600s. That century seems to have our most interesting ancestors.
This is the oldest house in Marblehead, MA. It was owned by our 7th great grand uncle, Ambrose Gale. In 1692, he and his daughter, Charity, turned in their servant, Wilmot Redd, for practicing witchcraft. She was the only woman from Marblehead hanged for witchcraft. Click on the photo for more info. So maybe a family mystery is solved. A photo of a young man in an ill-fitting uniform hung on the wall at the Jones house in Cleveland. Maybe it was a Confederate uniform from the Civil War? Do we have a reb in the family? No one seems to have a clue as to his identity, but now we have some clues. I joined a Facebook group called Pennsylvania Genealogy since the family legend is that he belongs to the Brooks/Dunn side of the family of Lewistown, PA.

Bonnie EastonHi! I am a Jones cousin, daughter of Evelyn Jones Easton. Since retiring as a reference librarian after 20 years, I have become a genealogy addict. Our ancestors want to tell us their stories.
