Autumn is coming and apples are being harvested. I can remember my mother and I buying a bag of caramels with the sticks in it, melting caramels in the top of a double boiler, and dipping an apple in the mixture to coat it. Yummy. A fall tradition.
Another fall tradition is making apple pies. Here is Donna Goins’ recipe for her apple pie. (Working on getting her pie crust recipe, as well.)

Just ran across this on my timeline. I love the quote that says, “Everyone deserves to be remembered. There is no one whose life is so insignificant that we cannot learn from what they have to teach us.”
Those of you who know me are aware that I love to bake cookies. With Labor Day picnics in the plans this weekend, here is an easy one you might like to try. Hope you enjoy it.

Bonnie EastonHi! I am a Jones cousin, daughter of Evelyn Jones Easton. Since retiring as a reference librarian after 20 years, I have become a genealogy addict. Our ancestors want to tell us their stories.
